The SGP is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), Equator Initiative and UNDP and awarded through an open competition among GEF-supported projects worldwide. Winning projects may receive up to US$2 million over five years as support for activities that protect and restore environmental resources while improving people’s well-being and livelihoods worldwide.
